Science Says
During the time of Jesus, people worshipped political messiahs. Caesar Augustus was considered the son of God (Caesar deified). Today, many worship politicians in the name of Science.
Science is the god of the American left.
The Branch Covidian cult/religion is much like the game of Simon Says: An authority tells us what Science says. We obey.
Really, in contradiction to the scientific method, “Science” is merely an appeal to authority. Democrat doctors, Democrat politicians, and Democrat televangelists, interpret what “Science says,” and they tell us what to do. Faith is blind obedience.
Now the debate is whether schools in Mississippi should mandate masks.
The solution is the 1st Amendment (via the 14th Amendment).
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Branch Covidians should form their own communes and parochial schools for their church. Church comes from the Greek word for assembly. They can peaceably assemble, they can wear their mask burkas to be religiously clean, and they can worship Science as their authority figures interpret His/Her/Their will. Branch Covidians wouldn’t have to interact with the biologically inferior who don’t partake in their celebration of the eucharist (covid vaccines). They don’t have to shop around the unclean if they choose to shop where masks are required by property owners.
Covid Protestants: If you don’t want to go through a priest to understand the will of Science, you can read their bible (the Communist Manifesto). It is remarkably similar to that which the doctor’s of their church prescribe.
The rest of us can use the scientific method and God’s gift of free will to ignore them and go on with life. In fact, Jesus was very much against worshipping god-like politicians, which is how contemporary Roman emperors ruled.
Matthew 16: 13-20: “Then Jesus came into the neighbourhood of Caesarea Philippi; and there he asked his disciples, What do men say of the Son of Man? Who do they think he is? 14 Some say John the Baptist, they told him, others Elias, others again, Jeremy or one of the prophets. 15 Jesus said to them, And what of you? Who do you say that I am? 16 Then Simon Peter answered, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.[2] 17 And Jesus answered him, Blessed art thou, Simon son of Jona; it is not flesh and blood, it is my Father in heaven that has revealed this to thee. 18 And I tell thee this in my turn, that thou art Peter, and it is upon this rock that I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it; 19 and I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 20 Then he strictly forbade them to tell any man that he, Jesus, was the Christ.”
Jesus said that the foundation of his church was Peter (Peter means rock) while they were outside a temple to the god-emperor Caesar Augustus. The temple was built on the large rock formation at Caesarea Phillipi. The gates of hell is the cavern where the Jordan river originates. Panium was another name for the area.
According to the Jewish historian Josephus, writing in chapter 21 of The Wars of the Jews or History of the Destruction of Jerusalem in the 75th anno domini,[1]
“3. And when Caesar had further bestowed upon him another additional country, he built there also a temple of white marble, hard by the fountains of Jordan: the place is called Panium, where is a top of a mountain that is raised to an immense height, and at its side, beneath, or at its bottom, a dark cave opens itself; within which there is a horrible precipice, that descends abruptly to a vast depth; it contains a mighty quantity of water, which is immovable; and when any body lets down any thing to measure the depth of the earth beneath the water, no length of cord is sufficient to reach it. Now the fountains of Jordan rise at the roots of this cavity outwardly; and, as some think, this is the utmost origin of Jordan: but we shall speak of that matter more accurately in our following history.”
Jesus was saying that his church would replace the worship of Caesar (authority).
